WestRock Company Assistant Pulp Mill Superintendent in Fernandina Beach, Florida
CAREER OPPORTUNITY:
The Pulp Mill Assistant Superintendent leads process operations for the department. This position is responsible of creating a safe work environment and continuously improving the quality, productivity, efficiency and cost of the operation. The role reports to the Pulp Mill Superintendent.
HOW YOU WILL IMPACT WESTROCK:
Safety - Lead safety systems and processes that support achieving our continually improving annual goals
Environmental - Lead department environmental management systems to ensure compliance and environmental stewardship
Cost - Develop and maintain methods for systematically tracking and reducing operational costs.
Production -Improve efficiency and effectiveness of department operations by analyzing the processes and utilizing all available tools, technology, and outside resources.
People Development - Invest in our people to help them develop and operate at their full potential.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering preferred and a minimum of 5-8 years of Pulping Operations experience or,
5+ years of progressively increasing responsibilities in Pulping Operations with at least 3 years of supervisory experience
Strong computer skills (MS Office software)
