Lakes Country Service Cooperative Occupational Therapist in Fergus Falls, Minnesota
Lakes Country Service Cooperative, a leader in providing regional support for school districts, cities, counties, and other government agencies, is looking for an Occupational Therapist to fill a part-time (up to 350 hours during the school year) opening in our Lakes Country Academy (LCA), immediately. This position may also be divided up into two part time Occupational Therapists for up to 175 hours each, assigned to one Lakes Country Academy site each. Our K-12 programs are located in Fergus Falls and Alexandria. Students who attend our specialized programs, present with educational and behavioral challenges who need a highly individualized environment. Students are referred to our programs by our LCSC member school districts. Duties of the job involve supporting building level special education staff in meeting the unique needs of students; planning and implementing programs to address barriers to learning; and participating as a team member on student IEPs. Interested applicants should have interest and expertise with students who live with behavioral challenges and autism spectrum disorders. Interested applicants should also have experience and come well recommended in consulting with teachers, paras, administrators and other school setting employees to positively impact the growth and development of students in a school setting. This position offers a flexible schedule (on site/virtual), primarily on a weekly basis, though scheduling is determined by student IEP needs. The occupational therapist will work with Lakes Country Academy administration to create a flexible schedule throughout the school year that meets the needs of students and overall programming, though weekly on site work may be required at times. Applicants must have an Occupational Therapist license from Minnesota or the ability to obtain one immediately.
