Kelly Services Machining Maintenance Technician in Fenton, Michigan

Maintenance Machining Technician - 2nd shift

Responsibilities:

  • Perform corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair for a variety of equipment, including electronics, electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, software, hardware, and robotics systems.

  • Conduct preventive maintenance on production equipment such as cleaning, retooling, oil-changing, calibrating, aligning, etc.

  • Assist in process design improvement engineering studies involving product throughput, first-run yields, ergonomics, tooling, equipment, and manufacturing processes.

Education/Experience:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of related mechanical or electrical experience, or an Associate’s Degree in a related field.

Other Skills/Abilities:

Required:

  • Ability to use/operate hand tools and/or power tools, shop equipment (lathe, mills, grinder, etc.). Experience with Makino, Sugino, SW, and Grob machines is a plus.

  • Ability to read, understand, and process relevant technical and non-technical material.

  • Technical aptitude and strong trouble-shooting skills.

  • Analytical ability.

  • Proficiency in computer and software applications.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of PLC/SRC/RS LOGIX, Ladder Logic.

  • Knowledge of robotic/vision systems.

  • Familiarity with process improvement, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance.

  • Prior experience in a team-based management culture.
