Northwest Alabama Mental Health Center Peer Support Specialist - Fayette/Vernon - Full Time in Fayette, Alabama
Job duties include providing services to assist consumers in personal recovery and relapse prevention and helping to promote socialization skills, self-advocacy skills, and the development of natural supports. You must have personally experienced mental illness, be in recovery, and be willing to share your personal story of mental illness publicly.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED from a state accredited school/source.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook.
- Current/valid non-expired driver's license. This position requires driving. To meet the driving requirements, you must be at least 21 and have an insurable driving record.
- Must have personally experienced mental illness, be in recovery, and be willing to share their personal story of mental illness publicly.
Schedule: Will be discussed in interview.
