Duties:

Inspector reviews the customer order requirements and compares to the design and dimensions of the assigned chassis. Communication with internal sales is often required in order to clarify application expectations. Extreme accuracy in taking measurements, interpretation of design requirements and completing quality records are essential. Candidate must be capable of fulfilling capacity requirements by working efficiently while being able to quickly work through complicated situations.

Duties will also include supporting the check-in process or other quality inspection related activities. Candidate must be able to drive a chassis or completed truck (automatic and manual transmission). This position requires working in all weather conditions and significant walking from location to location. Interacting with drivers is also required in a professional and calm manor. This position is for Monday through Friday and flexible work hours are required. Occasional overtime and Saturdays are required based on the workload and schedule condition. Additional duties might be added at the discretion of the quality manager.

Qualifications:

  • Educational: High School Diplomaor GED.
  • Experience: Basic computer experience required. Hydraulics experience is preferred. Reading and understanding a tape measure and ability to calculate measurements is required.
  • Skills: Ability to communicate with team members in a calm and professional manor. Ability to use various inspection devices and perform calibrations. Ability to accurately follow procedures and protocol. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must have an excellent eye for detail and be able to work well under pressure. Ability to adapt to continuous change with supporting effort. Ability to understand the market and customer needs.
  • Other: Ability to drive trucks including manual transmissions. Must be safety oriented. Must have excellent attendance record and high-quality work performance. Must be able to work flexible hours. Must be detail oriented. Must be able to work overtime on a regular basis. Must be able to work weekends, when needed. Must be able to work effectively with production employees to identify issues, have them corrected, and have the root-cause removed. Must be able to squat, climb and stand for a 10-hour period.
