Schedule: Full time, day hours with on-call one night a week
Responsibilities:
Provides alcohol & drug testing.
Assists clinical & clerical staff to facilitate flow of patients & health information for customers’ medical records.
Supports nursing and medical staff in the admission, treatment & discharge of patients.
Responsible for training of clinic staff in collection of specimens for drug tests and collection.
Troubleshoots problems with technical equipment.
Lives the CARES values at all times.
Required Job-Specific Competencies:
Demonstrates skill in AED, Breath Alcohol technician, audiogram & spirometry calibration & test administration, ECG, DOT & non-DOT urine drug collection.
Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.
Demonstrates the ability to work independently and exhibits flexibility in decision making and prioritizing assignments.
Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with patients, providers, associates & corporate customers.
Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information including but not limited to the patients, staff and the health system.
Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
BLS certification required.
Certification for breath alcohol testing, drug testing (urine, saliva, hair testing) preferred.
Competency for phlebotomy preferred.
Minimum of two years experience in outpatient clinic, physician office or emergency department preferred.
Knows spelling and use of medical terms.
Must possess excellent patient/public relations and communication skills.
Proficient in data entry.

Pay Range: $18.64 - $21.50
Starting Pay: Based on Experience
