Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Horticulturist to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. As a Horticulturist, you will be responsible for designing, planting, and maintaining all garden areas. What will you do?

• Order necessary products and maintain all tools and equipment

• Schedule all plantings and horticulture related tasks in a timely manner

• Maintain landscaping environments including all acres of property

• Mowlawn, remove weeds and brush, and perform other skilled yard work

• Keep maintenance room in neat condition

• Operate motorized vehicle when necessary

More about you

• High school diploma or equivalent degree required

• Minimum of 5 years of field related experience

• Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License and able to be licensed by New York State Lottery and New York State Racing and Wagering

• Must have general knowledge of the use of simple equipment used in building trades

• Must have a valid driver’s license, pass an MVR check, and take a drug test.

Physical requirements

• Ability to stand, crouch, and climb to perform repairs, use ladders, and perform various types of manual labor

• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds occasionally

• May work around thoroughbred horses
