As a Medical Assistant, you'll be at the heart of our client care, providing essential support to physicians and nursing staff. Your responsibilities will range from preparing patients for examinations to performing lab tests and phlebotomy. You'll also be instrumental in maintaining a smooth-running clinic, handling appointments, and ensuring our clients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and nursing staff with patient care, including preparing patients for examinations and treatments
Perform phlebotomy, lab testing, and administer injections as needed
Manage appointment scheduling, prior authorizations, and chart management
Provide information and support to help clients benefit from clinic services
Conduct health reviews and maintain medical equipment
Accompany clients to medical appointments, ensuring their rights are protected
Coordinate with the healthcare team to address client needs and concerns
Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to company policies
Manage clinic supplies, including inventory and restocking
Participate in required meetings and contribute to improving clinic operations
Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or Licensed Practical Nurse in applicable state
CPR certification preferred
Phlebotomy training and previous lab experience preferred
One year of experience in a physician office setting preferred
Additional Qualifications:
Must successfully complete a background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect and fingerprint check
Must complete New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment
All training requirements including Relias must be completed at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter
Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance required
Ability to remain calm in crisis situations and maintain positive relationships
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment
Commitment to upholding the organization's mission, values, and principles
Proficiency in using electronic health records and various software platforms
Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow instructions and accept supervision
