Kyyba Inc., has an opening for the position of Systems Engineer (Ref# SE819DV) to work in Farmington Hills, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. JOB DUTIES: Support production networking systems (Andon, PIF, and IoE) implementation. Troubleshoot and update existing PLC programs to support ongoing system upgrades and installations. Design scripts, implement, and connect with various controllers to collect operational data for analysis. Design Andon displays and program information files (PIF) for usage in accordance with client specifications. Collaborate with multiple internal teams and external vendors to meet business needs. Responsible for programming PLCs. Maintain and debug PLCs to perform root cause analysis and perform corrective actions to support production. Provide setup, configuration, and long-term support of servers, including the following Kepware and Client Cimplicity applications to transfer mission critical data to visualization dashboard for ongoing activities to support production and maintenance teams. Maintain and debug any failing servers by identifying and performing root cause analysis on both software and hardware. Collaborate with internal innovation teams to support internal project initiatives. Provide support and knowledge in robotics, network, and script programming activities to other team members to ensure that milestones are achieved across various projects. Design screens and scripts using Python, SQL, and VB.Net. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and advancements in production networking systems, robot controllers, and programming standards for languages such as Python, C++, VB.Net, and Scripting. Author standards, policies and procedures, technical memos, and manuals. Collaborate cross-functionally internally and with external partners to solve problems and accomplish goals. Work with different teams and external partners during network upgrades, technology migrations, and/or system implementations to ensure seamless transitions. Showcase the team's efforts and accomplishments through presentations to peers and executive management, analyzing the collected data to identify key findings, trends, and success stories.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a related field. Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years in a related occupation including Computer/Electrical Engineering Intern, Quality Engineering Intern, Programmer, or related experience. Position requires 2 years of experience with Python and SQL. 40hrs/week.
