Humanetics Maintenance Technician in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Role Purpose: Perform various activities in maintaining and repairing physical structures of building and maintaining equipment.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

  • Follows all LOTO and Safety procedures or policies, reports all safety related conditions to supervision

  • Engaged in maintaining building and facility equipment

  • Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, etc.

  • Perform maintenance on CNC machines, ovens, and various equipment

  • Perform electrical, mechanical, construction functions as assigned

  • Electronics troubleshooting

  • Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems

  • Confers with supervisor to coordinate Maintenance activities for individual departments

  • Acts as a point of contact when contractors are working on the premises

  • General Maintenance Tasks

  • Other duties as assigned

    Other Significant Role Requirements:

    Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • Two -five years in manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge of electric power 120, 220, 480 voltage, and all related equipment

  • Knowledge of plumbing and related equipment including fire prevention systems

  • Drywall repair, painting, cleaning

  • Heating and cooling repair and maintenance

  • Ability to read blueprints, good problem solving skills, ability to work with all types of hand and power tools

  • Experience with lathes, mills, grinders, CNC Machines, ovens, and presses
