Processing Analyst I The Processing Analyst I role will be to support the operational activities related to derivatives (Interest Rate Hedges and Energy) swaps transactions, working closely with traders, and stackeholders to ensure accurate and timely processing of trades, settlements and related activities. The Processing Analyst I role will involve handling a range of derivative products, such as futures, swaps, trade verification and confirmation, payment execution, reconciliation and reporting, utilization of multiple subsystems, and compliance. Position Competencies Successful incumbents possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams, understanding of derivative products or related processes and/or knowledge of back office operations, trade lifecycle and settlement processing. Incumbet possesses analytical skills, prioritization, adaptability, detail oriented and ability to work accurately under pressure. Position Responsibilities: * Validate and process trade instructions received from Front Office Traders. Confirm trade details and ensure accuracy of trade documentation. Work with counterparties to resolve any trade-related discrepancies in a timely manner. * Ensure timely settlement of derivatives trades via OpenLink BO Customer and Dealer banks. Monitor and reconcile trade activity, investigate, and resolve settlement discrepancies and/or failed trades. * Conduct daily reconciliations between the bank's internal systems and external platforms, identify and resolve discrepancies between trade records, cash flow, and positions, investigate and resolve trade discrepancies in a timely manner. * Stay up to date with relevant regulatory requirements and ensure adherence to internal control polices, assist in accurately preparing, saving, and submitting regulatory required support documents and reports relating to derivatives transactions, support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. * Monitor and assess operational risks associated with derivatives processing, identify, and report potential risk issues and implement appropriate controls, collaborate with risk management and production support teams to enhance operational processes, and mitigate risks. * Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency enhancements, participate in projects aimed at improving operational workflows and systems, provide feedback and suggestions for system enhancements or process improvements.
