Summary:

Heritage Mechanical Services is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate to join our team in Farmingdale, NY. The Warehouse Associate is responsible for pulling material orders, setting up job boxes, maintaining proper stock levels, and other duties as assigned.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull tools/hardware for sheet metal workers.

  • Maintain clean work environment (sweep, empty garbage, put materials away)

  • Keep proper inventory levels – alert Purchasing Manager when items need to be re-ordered.

  • Restock cleaning supply closet as needed.

  • Use company vehicle(s) to make local pick-ups.

  • Other tasks assigned as Manager needs.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be a self-starter and be able to receive direction and work well with others. Be a team player with a “can do” attitude. Required Attributes:

  • Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

  • Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced multi-task environment.

  • Ability to deal with a variety of people/personalities in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Clean driver’s license

  • Forklift certification a plus

  • Knowledge of sheet metal is beneficial, but not necessary.

Compensation Range: $17 - $22 per hour; based on experience

Other Compensation: Bonus eligible
