Aerotek Steel Fabricator in Fargo, North Dakota

Job Title: Steel Fabricator

Job Description

As a fabricator, your main duties will involve loading and unloading fabrication equipment, making cuts, and floating between press brake, shear, plasma, and waterjet operations. We are willing to train candidates who have experience with at least two of these operations. You will be required to set up equipment between production runs, read a tape measure, and identify different types and thicknesses of sheet metal. Your role will also involve performing all work safely and using overhead cranes when necessary to move equipment. The shift timings are from 3:30pm-2am, Monday-Thursday, with the potential for 5-8 hours of work on Fridays. You will initially train on day shift for the first 4-6 weeks. There is also the possibility to work more if desired.

Hard Skills

  • Ability to load and unload fabrication equipment

  • Experience with at least two of the following: press brake, shear, plasma, waterjet

  • Ability to set up equipment between production runs

  • Ability to read a tape measure

  • Knowledge of different types and thicknesses of sheet metal

  • Ability to use overhead cranes

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 4 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Fargo, North Dakota.

Work Environment

The work environment is a standard metal shop with fabrication on one side of the building and welding/assembly on the other. All paint/blast operations are conducted in a separate building. Long sleeves are preferred and uniforms will be issued after it has been determined that the candidate will be there long term.
