The Customer Success Team is an organization responsible for helping customers achieve their business outcomes through their investment in Microsoft. This role sits in the Customer Success organization within WCB, focusing on Microsoft’s Security Solution Area.

We are looking for a strong thought leader to be the Security CSA Planning SME within the Security Solution Area of the Customer Success Unit. The Security CSA Planning SME is a worldwide role with the ability to drive impact across the organization and lead orchestration and planning – by defining the Security CSA role and orchestration to drive Security usage/ACR and enable the improvement of customers’ overall Security Posture.

This Security CSA Planning SME will help drive the Security strategy and be responsible for defining roles & responsibilities and orchestration with other key stakeholders – including STU, ATU, FastTrack, Engineering, and partners. You will work closely with Security CSA Managers, Security CSAs and Customer Engineers to land and develop the role and improve customer impact. The role owner has a heavy focus on Fiscal year planning and evolving and growing the role across multiple years.

Responsibilities

  • Role Architecture: Role ownership & evolution, Blueprint/Field Model & Motions, Compensation, Coverage model, Orchestration, Territory Management, Capacity Planning, Priorities, Accountabilities.

  • Strategy: Support the design of the Security usage and consumption acceleration strategy for CSU in alignment with Marketing, STU, and Engineering group:

  • Orchestration: Ability to work across field and corporate teams to orchestrate and align fiscal year planning priorities, planning milestones, and deliverables. Orchestrate v-team of BG, Engineering, STU, ATU, and FastTrack to help define and evolve the Security CSA role.

  • Planning: Help drive Business Scorecard Metrics by aligning field to key priorities and sales motions. Orchestrate across key role owners.

  • Role Model: Support Customer and Field Engagements through EBC or field visit.

  • Play a leading role in defining community engagement, field orchestration, ROB, Scrum, and readiness activities. Design pilots and strategies to support Security metrics.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies

  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or cloud/infrastructure technologies

  • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in customer success management or field/community management experience with focus on Enterprise accounts.

  • Experience with managing senior stakeholders with worldwide responsibilities.

  • Clear understanding of the Security business, Microsoft’s end-to-end Security value proposition, key customer requirements, competitors, and industry trends impacting engagements.

  • Creative problem solver with the ability to align various stakeholders on common goal for customers.

  • Ability to Manage remote global v-teams and influence without authority.

  • Strong sense of empathy and the ability to walk in the Security CSA’s shoes.

  • Ability to work across field and corporate teams to orchestrate and align fiscal year planning priorities, planning milestones, and deliverables.

  • Strong analytical skills, able to distill key insights from incomplete data.

  • Strategic thinker combined with strong ability to execute x-org and drive for results in ambiguous environment.

  • High energy individual with startup mentality to define strategy and build execution plans.

  • Strong, confident executive communication (written and oral).
