Health Advocates Network Orthotist Prosthetist, Certified - Direct Hire in Fargo, North Dakota

JOB PROFILE SUMMARY

Responsible to manage the comprehensive orthotic and prosthetic patient care under the direction of a physician's prescription. This includes patient assessment, formulation and implementation of a treatment plan, as well as follow-up and practice management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The orthosis/prosthesis is designed to restore physiological function and/or cosmesis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Asks questions to validate the understanding of the subject matter.

Demonstrates proficiency with using all basic office support software.

Effectively performs the technical job aspects, continuously building knowledge and keeping up-to-date on technical and procedural job components.

Makes sound recommendations when faced with complex and contradictory alternatives.

Performs at least 2-3 concurrent activities without reducing productivity.

Uses active listening skills and probing techniques to understand cause of a conflict.

Uses varying problem-solving approaches and techniques as appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Details Completed the schooling necessary to become certified as a Certified Orthotic/Prosthetic Practitioner.

Experience

Ten years of combined experience, education and training in orthotics and prosthetics under the supervision

of a privileged orthotist and prosthetist with a minimum of four years in each discipline.

License/Certification Details

Certification in Orthotics and Prosthetics through the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of

Certification (BOC) is required; if not at time of hire, must have certification within three years of hire.

Possess a valid Class D driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
