Summary You will serve as a Management and Program Analyst for the Deputy Surgeon General (DSG) of BUREAU OF MEDICINE AND SURGERY. Salary GS-09 $68,405 - $88,926 GS-11 $82,764 - 107,590 Responsibilities You will conduct analysis and provide advice and assistance to the Code's resource needs and resource allocaiton. You will assure staff required annual training completion meets or exceeds regulation requirements in accordance with the annual training plan. You will manage the submission of process of and provide review and recommended changes to military staff evaluations. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications For the GS-11: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform successfully the duties of the position such as: Experience utilizing a more advanced and comprehensive understanding, able to navigate independently through the organizational structure, with minimal supervision and can offer insights to others. Experience utilizing advanced expertise, independently identifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative process improvements, often leading projects or initiatives related to management systems. Experience independently managing administrative functions, overseeing training programs, budget plans, and logistics operations, and providing recommendations to improve systems. Experience utilizing advanced communication skills, able to draft complex correspondence, reports, and presentations independently, and provide guidance to others on effective communication strategies. Experience independently handling complex correspondence, manage official documentation, and ensure adherence to protocol without supervision. Experience demonstrating a higher level of technical expertise, able to use these systems independently, troubleshoot problems, and train others in their use. Experience managing systems and workflow improvements, often applying established processes and requiring some supervision to identify areas for improvement. Experience utilizing personnel training, budgeting, logistics, and record management, typically applying established principles with occasional guidance. Experience utilizing effective written and oral communication, with an emphasis on clarity and adherence to established formats, often needing oversight for complex communications. Experience utilizing naval correspondence guidelines and government protocol, with the ability to apply standard formats under supervision. Experience utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, Defense Travel System, and military evaluation software, though may need guidance for advanced tasks.
