Job Description:
Join General Dynamics IT and be a part of a team that solve some of the world's most complex technical challenges. We are seeking an IT Deputy Program Manager to lead a new award opportunity in the DC Capital Region .
This program provides enterprise-wide IT support to enable the customer to consolidate, modernize, and continuously innovate the delivery of IT services and mission capabilities. These services will deliver exceptional execution value to internal and external mission partners operating in CONUS and OCONUS locations.
As the Deputy Program Manager, you are responsible for overall program performance and shall serve as the Deputy Program Management lead and the Contractor’s single service-delivery manager for the program’s Value Management Office (VMO).
Manages programs to ensure that implementation and prescribed activities are carried out in accordance with specified objectives.
Plans and develops methods and procedures for implementing programs, directs and coordinates program activities, and exercises control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of programs.
Selects personnel according to knowledge and experience in area with which programs are concerned, such as social or public welfare, education, economics, or public relations.
Confers with staff to explain programs and individual responsibilities for functions and phases of programs.
Directs and coordinates, personally or through subordinate managerial personnel, activities concerned with implementation and carrying out objectives of program.
Reviews reports and records of activities to ensure progress is being accomplished toward specified program objective, and modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect activities and attain objectives.
Prepares program reports for superiors.
Controls expenditures in accordance with budget allocations.
Basic Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree
5+ years of experience of project and program management.
Experience should include creating program management plans; delivering monthly status reports; documentation; technical support; acquisition support and recruiting and retention.
Demonstrated experience serving as the Contractor’s contract/TO manager on one or more programs Experience planning and executing complex IT tasks and projects effectively with minimal Government direction and oversight.
Customer Relations Management Experience managing cost-plus contracts with award-fee structures Experience delivering executive-level briefings and presentations to senior Government personnel.
Experience with staffing and HR processes
PMP certification
TS/SCI

The likely salary range for this position is $128,666 - $174,078. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
