Job Description:

  • Provide comprehensive knowledge in medical device integration implementation and sustainment project management. Support communications, implementation analysis, reporting, documentation, and data analysis / metrics. Focus in areas of project and logistics data analysis support. Provide advisory consultation for medical devices and associated systems deployment, integration, and issue resolution project analysis. Provide remote/onsite medical device evaluation, assessment, and support. Ensure quality and data metrics are captured for supporting ongoing research and analysis to report current and future integration efforts.


  • Five (5)+ years background in Department of Defense with 5+ years focused in the area of clinical engineering.

  • MHS GENESIS Medical Device Integration experience

  • Functional clinical and/or logistics support experience in various specialized inpatient and/or outpatient environments.

  • Knowledge in systems, software, architecture, network, quality assurance or integration engineering concepts, implementation, development, issue resolution, testing, and design.

  • Knowledge of requirements gathering quality management and testing theories and practices, experience developing test methods and procedure/protocols, metrics analysis, and executing tests.

  • Knowledge and experience with medical device regulatory standardized integration practices including CAP, FDA, ISO, and NIST.

  • Knowledge and experience with development, implementation, and/or management of medical devices and associated systems.

  • Experience in project/program management coordination of activities pertaining to oversight including medical device implementation, testing, and/or sustainment.

  • Knowledge of design, repair, rebuild, testing, modification, servicing, system integration, installation, asset tracking, and remedial maintenance of the full range of complex and sophisticated, state-of-the-art medical equipment systems consisting of electronic, electro-mechanical, industrial, laboratory, medical and other instrumentation used by a medical researcher/investigator and treatment activity professionals, including medical care providers.

  • Knowledge and experience with training requirements for biomedical or information management maintenance personnel and end users.

  • Management of medical equipment maintenance programs including maintenance costs, and evaluation of the quality of support.

  • Evaluate condition of equipment. Publishing and implementing appropriate medical maintenance SOPs.

  • Knowledge of the regulations governing maintenance expenditure limits for device maintenance, integration, support

  • Knowledge of the regulations that pertain to the inspection of uneconomically repairable major end items, and the policy and procedures for maintenance expenditure limits waivers is required. Involves the application of knowledge and skills in the repair, calibration, and preventive maintenance of medical equipment.

  • Develop, implement, and track medical equipment lifecycle management metrics. Develop and present executive level presentations to senior military leaders.

  • Development of communications and associated presentations for executive leadership.


  • Executive advisory / consultation experience.

  • Hands on knowledge and experience with one or more Cerner Millenium applications such as PowerChsrt, SA Anesthesia, PathNet, RadNet, iCommand iBus, etc.

  • Bachelors in the area of Business/Clinical Engineering and/or related field
