Spire Federal Credit Union Mortgage Closer in Falcon Heights, Minnesota
Description Role: Prepares mortgage closing documents for Agency, Portfolio and Equity loans. Serves as the primary contact for members and Title Companies regarding mortgage closings and services. Job Type: Full Time, Hybrid Position (2 days in office, 3 days remote) after training period. Major Duties and Responsibilities Facilitate the real estate closing process and meet Blaze's real estate objectives. Prepare and send the initial CD and ensure they are signed in a timely manner. Work with Title Companies to facilitate a smooth closing for our members. Ensure all closing conditions are met. Prepare closing package for all secondary market, 2nd lien, and portfolio loans. Create the funding sheet for the loan closings. Create the title recording sheet, complete wires and give funding approval. Monitor the pipeline to ensure the loans are closed in a timely and accurate manner. Act as a resource for both the processors and the Mortgage Loan Officers Identify processors' needs and assist when necessary. Assist the Processors with questions and resolving documentation issues. Provide support to the Real Estate Lending and Servicing Department Perform other duties as assigned to support effective lending operations. Other Duties Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control Exhibit Blaze's 5A culture - Ambassador, Achievement, Ambition, Ability and Attitude Regular and predictable attendance Perform other duties as assigned to support effective department operation. Requirements Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses High School degree or equivalent. 2-3 years similar or related financial experience. Demonstrated Knowledge Strong verbal and written communication skills. Computer skills including Microsoft products. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Knowledge of Encompass a plus. Communication Skills Ability to proactively respond to members/associates to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified. Physical Requirements Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal associates and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.
