Fairport, NY is the headquarters for the Bosch Security Systems sales organization in the United States and serves as the primary site for research and development, engineering, quality, and product management for intrusion detection systems, including state-of-the-art sensors, control panels, communicators and more.

Job Description

As the Product Manager - Intrusion Systems Software, you will help drive the definition, development and introduction of a winning software strategy for the global Intrusion systems market. By working in close alignment with customers, markets, and other product managers, you will strive to continuously improve our software portfolio with an emphasis on:

  • Product Management: Manage a technically complex new hosted software application to achieve defined business objectives. Write product requirements for upcoming releases of the new software applications. Work closely with engineering during the agile planning and development of software releases. Manage the near term and long-term product roadmap.

  • Product Launch: Responsible for managing global product launches of new software releases. Responsibilities include coordinating a cross-functional team to develop and deliver hand off materials, assisting in the development of marketing materials.

  • Gathering Market Insight/Intel: Work closely with user experience/design team members to ensure the software interface provides the optimal experience. Embrace continuous feedback and product input from our sales force and system integrators. Work with customers and potential customers to gather feedback on how to improve and extend our applications and services.

  • Competitor Analysis: Keep abreast of competitor products and market trends to develop and maintain strategic vision for product roadmaps.

  • User Interface Develop: Work closely with User Interface design team to translate customer use cases and workflows into a seamless application experience for our customers. Support design leadership team on communication and presentation needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related fields.

  • Five (5) years in hosted software product management.

  • Extensive background in writing market requirements, defining future product features, and product lifecycle management.

  • Work effectively in a global organization serving a worldwide customer base, and to lead cross-functional teams through the process.

  • Understanding of customer experience, familiarity with UX and Design Thinking methodologies, and success in creating innovative and user-friendly products.

  • Product development process (Agile and Waterfall).

  • Familiar with JIRA and managing requirements within.

  • Excellent listening skills and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Technical background preferred.

  • Knowledge or experience in the Intrusion industry a plus.

  • 15-20% travel.

The U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $143,000 to $160,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
