Job Description

This position is open because the team only has high -level members and needs mid and junior-level engineers to mold and train. Additionally, there is an influx of projects requiring support. Our client is an MEP firm located in Northern Virginia, offering capabilities in the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems in various types of facilities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Help design mechanical systems for commercial and government buildings.

• Assist the project team with HVAC load calculations

• Determine system sizing and layouts

• Calculate HVAC equipment sizes

• Select HVAC equipment

• Completing field surveys

• Preparing CAD drawings.

• Occasional travel to assist in the installation of mechanical systems on job sites, reviewing shop drawings, and performing construction administration functions.

Skills/Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering

• Experience with AutoCAD

• Experience working with HVAC systems

• Exposure to Revit

Work Environment

This is a fully in-office position. You would be working with a smart, friendly group of engineers who enjoy pushing themselves and being creative. Everyone on the team is mechanically inclined and likes to tinker with mechanics.
