Job Description The Challenge: When a user tries a new system, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful information systems – and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced Quality Assurance Lead Specialist who knows how to lead the program testing efforts and thoroughly test software and ensure that our team releases the best system possible. As a quality assurance expert, you’ll work with analysts, testers, developers, engineers, and more on a team that evaluates developed systems for the Department of Veterans Affairs You’ll develop and implement a test plan based on requirements, functional specifications, and design specifications. Using requirements analysis and software quality assurance, you’ll generate problem resolutions and track quality assurance standards to see how the system performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the system. You’ll build your experience in various types of testing, including automation, performance, accessibility, usability, user acceptance testing, and testing process improvement. You Have: · 7+ years of experience with functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, 508 testing, or system integration testing, supporting user acceptance testing. · 2-3 + experience as a test lead/manager. · 3+ years of experience with test automation tools, open source, and COTS test automation frameworks, including Selenium, JMeter, and Cucumber w/ Gerki. · Experience developing test plans and test scripts. · Good communication skills (role will require interacting with users) · Knowledge of Selenium framework · Knowledge of scripting languages, including PowerShell, Bash, PHP, Python, Java, Node, or Ruby · Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements. Nice If You Have: · Prefer active VA cleared personnel. · Experience with Agile methodologies · Knowledge of DevOps and automation frameworks, including Jenkins · Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously · Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment · Bachelor’s degree in CS or Computer Engineering ​​​​​​ Vetting: Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements of the U.S. government client.
