DCS CORPORATION Software Engineering Support (HPO) in Fairborn, Ohio

DCS's Air and Sea Forces Sector is seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a background in aircraft avionics systems to support the Acquisition of the MH-139A helicopter. In this position, you will support the Avionics related software for the MH-139A helicopter acquisition effort. The position requires a TS/SCI clearance. Essential Job Functions: Assist in reviewing detailed specifications, drawings, and supporting documents, evaluating proposals, and presenting conclusions and recommendations. The contractor shall evaluate available options or the feasibility of different advanced approaches to assist in resolving complex issues related to software engineering, computer hardware/software, electronic warfare systems, operational flight programs, and airborne systems. The contractor shall provide an assessment of the software development approach taken by the OEM/Supplier. Present briefings and assist with developing technical reports to document progress and results. Knowledgeable of new technology and revolutionary changes in research and development to ensure proper emphasis during all phases of life-cycle support. Assist with providing avionics integration support and technical direction in the areas of: requirements generation, systems design and integration, development, modification, test, production, sustainment, deployment, operations, and divestiture as required. Assist with providing guidance for, IA accreditation and implementation of IA controls for the Platform Information Technology (PIT) system. Possess an understanding of the MIL-STD-1553 serial data bus standard and Recommended Standard (RS) -232 communication standard and their implementation to assist in the generation of performance matrices, verification methodologies, data collection and performance assessment (PA) generation in order to certify required capabilities. Possess an understanding of Aeronautical Radio, Incorporated 610 suite of standards for design, integration and use of avionics equipment, aircraft equipment and software in military simulators. Assist in providing consultation, and support to design, develop, manufacture, integrate, test, and deploy supportable airborne weapon systems, including integrated avionics, embedded computer systems, software, and electronic maintenance systems. RequiredSkills: Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required. A Bachelor's Degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program plus 15 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
