Since 2001, Northrop Grumman has delivered Through-Life Support to the Royal Australian Air Force's 34 Squadron located at RAAF Fairbairn in Canberra. The high-performing Northrop Grumman SPA (Special Purpose Aircraft) team is comprised of approximately 50 staff who provide all levels of maintenance, training and logistics support to the fleet of two Boeing BBJ's and three Dassault Falcon 7X's Business Jets.

Your Role

As an Aircraft Ground Handler within our prestigious SPA program, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance for our aircraft. Your responsibilities include thorough interior and exterior cleaning after each flight, comprehensive monthly exterior maintenance tasks such as polishing wings, leading edges, and engine intakes, and executing a full aircraft polish every six months. In addition, you will perform essential flight line duties, including servicing and replenishing toilets and potable water, as well as efficient ground handling tasks like towing and managing ground support equipment.

Your role also involves diligent recording and monitoring of all detailing activities. Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation in the Shift Handover log is essential. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability of cleaning agents and the safe, proficient use of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) according to approved procedures and training. Promptly reporting any issues with GSE to the Manager is vital to uphold our high service standards. You will also play a part in developing detailed cleaning and ground handling procedures under the guidance of the Duty LAME, MOC, Operations Manager, and SPA 145 Responsible Manager.

SPA EBA Pay Rates:
