Job Summary:

This position will be the strategic business partner to the VP of Technical Operations and manage a team to oversee the governance and full life cycle management of approximately $350M of capital projects & investments. You must build strong relationships with stakeholders and collaborate with various departments such as engineering, operations, finance, and senior leadership to serve as a trusted advisor on financial matters related to capital investments and projects. Your team will also be responsible for supporting all other technical operational activities such as functional spend, tool shops, and operations excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Governance: Manage the overall capital projects & investments expenditure governance and monitor the process that ensures all projects approved are justified and consistent with strategy and that spending is in line with budget and capture the ROIC through the lifecycle of the projects.

  • Facilitation: Lead all PER (Project Expenditure Request) meetings above $100k by Operating Unit and functional area (D&T, Advanced Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, etc) and the monthly Executive PER Meeting.

  • Forecasting: Manage the development of financial plans, forecasts, and budgets related to capital expenditures and projects as well as global engineering SG&A.

  • Financial Modeling: Develop complex financial models and guidelines to be used by project sponsors and sites to evaluate different scenarios and assess the financial impact of various investment decisions. These models will help guide strategic planning and support decision-making at both operational and executive levels.

  • Reporting: Support global reporting processes for executive monthly business reviews as well as annual budget and long-term strategic plan exercises. This includes preparing information for the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee.

  • Performance Monitoring: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the financial performance of capital projects and process adherence. Regularly track project expenses, ROI, and other financial metrics, and provide timely and accurate reports to senior management to facilitate decision-making and course corrections as needed.

  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously review and refine capital planning processes, financial models, and analytical tools to simplify, enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Work closely with other finance leads to ensure financial implications (tax, internal control, disclosure, compliance) are considered and planned for regarding capital projects & investment.

  • Leverages external best practices for developing and implementing state-of-the-art reporting and analyses.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 12+ years of experience in finance

  • Experience with SAP is a must

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • MBA, CMA and/or CPA preferred

  • 7+ years in a publicly held manufacturing and/or services business with multi-billion dollarrevenue supporting multiple business lines

  • 3+ years in managing high volume capital allocation, growth opportunities in line with strategic planning

  • Experience with building dashboards with PowerBI or other visualization tools

  • Strong analytical capabilities

  • Demonstrated ability to present to and engage at the senior most levels of the organization

  • Strong communication, influencing, and change management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment on a global basis

  • Present analyses and advocate recommended actions to a variety of audiences with self-confidence

  • Ability to lead teams and build effective working relationships both internally and externally

  • Able to be aware of all relevant SOPs as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description

Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally
