Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization providing programs and services to individuals with disabilities and other special needs. We are looking to hire a dynamic, full-time Behavior Specialist to work with children in our approved private school located in Murrysville/Export.
JOB SUMMARY-Behavior Specialist
The Behavior Specialist is responsible for the direct implementation of behavior analytic services.
QUALIFICATIONS-Behavioral Specialist
- Master's Degree required.
- Licensed Behavior Specialist or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certificate.
- Documented completion of a comprehensive behavior training program required.
- Completion of education credits needed to maintain license/certifications required.
- Prior experience working with children with disabilities (ages birth to 8) preferred.
- Acceptable Criminal Record, Child Abuse and Department of Education FBI Clearance required.
- Passing of physical examination and TB required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES-Behavior Specialist
- Collaborate with team members, teachers, therapists, and other staff members to consistently provide positive behavioral interventions.
- Create and coach skill acquisition and behavior reduction strategies across all settings for staff and students.
- Assess initial and ongoing behavioral strengths and needs of students per school assessment protocols and timelines.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments
BENEFITS-
Easterseals follows a school calendar in that we operate from late August--early June. The hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.---providing a 6.5-hour day, 32.5 hours per week---1332.5 hours per year. A comprehensive benefit package valued at $6k is provided. During the month of July, we offer an Extended School Year program for those employees who are looking for summer employment.
