Queen's Health System Manager, Supply Chain Management - West Oahu (Full-Time, Days) in Ewa Beach, Hawaii
RESPONSIBILITIES
JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Implements and maintains the receiving, distribution and logistics management strategy and inventory control policies and procedures of The Queen’s Medical Center (QMC) –West Oahu.
• Has 24-hour accountability for receiving, distribution and logistics at QMC West Oahu and ensures the systems and processes for distribution of supplies and equipment meet efficiency and high quality customer service standards.
• Responsible for automated systems that support supply chain initiatives at QMC – West Oahu. Ensures functions, services, and activities support requirements of The Queen’s Health Systems (QHS); achieves goals and objectives, which are consistent with QHS’s cost management, standardization, vendor management, and other related programs and functions.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Essential: sitting, walking, standing, seeing, hearing and speaking.
• Occasional: stooping/bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing stairs, squatting, twisting body, finger dexterity, lifting and carrying usual weight of 5 pounds up to 35 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, and repetitive arm/hand motions.
• Operates computer, printer, telephone, calculator and other business office machines.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Not substantially subjected to adverse environmental conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, information technology, supply chain or related field.
EXPERIENCE:
• Three (3) years in inventory management or supply chain management experience, preferably in a comparable organization.
• Two (2) years supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience to demonstrate the following:
o Ability to analyze data to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action.
o Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining relationships with affiliates and distributors.
o Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
o Strong verbal and written communications skills.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
o Proficient in automated procurement systems, and related application software.
o Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of the financial and operational impacts.
