The Agency Manager / Director of Nursing is responsible for development and continual monitoring of the work schedules for Caregivers to meet patient care needs, adjusts staffing according to available staff and reports changes to appropriate supervisors, assure accuracy of the time reports, verify hours worked daily, overtime hours and benefit days, and calculate staffing based on adjusted census daily. They will also be responsible for the Nursing aspects of the business. The Manager will work with the Owners to ensure that all office functions related to business operations are performed effectively. In addition the office manager assists the owners with specific duties as required. * Familiar with and comfortable working on computers. * Ability to coordinate and perform multiple tasks. * Understand accounting principles. * Organizing staffing & scheduling all in-home care cases. * Ensure business operations are operating smoothly. * Orientation process of caregivers. * Present a professional appearance and positive attitude when interacting with clients and co-workers Nursing Responsibilities: * Assess new clients, develop plans of care, and direct level of care and assigned Plan of Care tasks. * Evaluate records relating to the care provided to the client on a regular basis. Conduct service calls with the client and/or significant other at least every thirty days to ensure the Plan of Care continues to meet client needs. * Conduct an in-person re-evaluation of the client every 60 days or more often if the client’s condition warrants it or there has been an interruption of service due to a hospitalization or stay in a medical facility. * Conduct and manage competency testing, clinical supervisions, and complete performance evaluations for caregivers. * Participate in the PI, infection control, and risk management programs as assigned by the Administrator. * Maintain documentation as per the regulatory requirements issued by the New Jersey Board of Nursing/NJ Division of Consumer Affairs and by the accrediting agency for Always Best Care Senior Services. * Maintain good working relationships with clients, family members, and caregivers, focusing on retention (retaining both clients and caregivers). * Coordinate in-services with the Administrator for additional training for caregivers. * Be available for on-call duty, providing a nursing consultation by phone within 30 minutes and doing an in-home visit as needed. * Complete 30 continuing education units within each 2-year period, from a NJ Board of Nursing recognized source. * Conduct community needs planning, if applicable. * Demonstrate professional conduct and ethics according to agency policies and procedures. * Maintain confidentiality of client information and all agency operation. * Attain at least 8 hours of professional development/training annually. Minimum Qualifications, Experience, Education, and Training * BSN degree from an approved institution of higher education with 2 years of public health nursing or an RN with 3 years of public health nursing. * New Jersey Board of Nursing licensed registered nurse. * Minimum of 2 years of experience in home care or community health, including at least 1 year of supervisory experience. * Knowledge of state and federal regulations.
