Robert Half Senior Accountant in Everett, Washington

Description

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for preparing financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities. They will also oversee the company's financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee routine department activities, such as disbursing checks and processing payroll, to ensure that they are completed accurately and on time.

  2. Maintaining updated records of company revenues and expenditures.

  3. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.

  4. Perfoming financial analysis and reporting.

  5. Help with the preparation of tax returns, ensuring compliance, and preparation for audits.

  6. Reconciliation of account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures.

    Requirements

  7. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. (Master's degree or CPA certification preferable.)

  8. 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least three years in a senior role.

  9. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and accounting procedures.

  10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills.

  11. Experience with accounting software and data handling.

  12. High level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.

  13. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
