What You Will Do:

Assignment and Familiarization1. Receiving Assignment:

  • Receive your assignment for a specific manufacturing area, inspection area, or specific items/processes.
  1. Familiarize Yourself:
  • Understand the product or process you will be inspecting.

  • Request assistance if needed to gain a thorough understanding.

Preparation

  1. Obtain Documentation:
  • Gather applicable drawings, specifications, quality standards, and inspection instructions.
  1. Inspection Equipment:
  • Obtain the necessary inspection equipment.

  • Ensure that the equipment is in reliable condition and calibrated if applicable.

Inspection Process

  1. Initial Inspection:
  • Inspect the first production pieces, samples, etc., using checklists, blueprints, work order routings, and standards.
  1. Ongoing Inspection:
  • Inspect manufactured products, purchased samples, materials, and parts.

  • Control samples, processes, or test data for conformity to blueprints, specifications, and standards.

Reporting and Communication7. Report Results:

  • Document inspection results and substandard conditions on appropriate forms or computer systems.
  1. Product Identification:
  • Identify product items as accepted or dispositioned.

  • Inform supervision of any abnormal situations.

  • Arrange item transport if necessary.

Post-Inspection and Maintenance

  1. Return Equipment:
  • Return inspection equipment and material to storage upon task completion.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly workstation.

Training and Development10. Participate in Training:

  • Attend and participate in quality-related training activities and department meetings as provided by management.

  • Maintain or update skills necessary for proficient job performance.

Additional Duties11. Other Duties:

  • Perform other Quality Assurance oriented duties as assigned by supervision.

Physical Requirements

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Physical Activity:

  • Substantial reaching and moving while standing.

  • Lifting objects up to 10 pounds.

  • Twisting and stooping.

  • Responding to sounds associated with the work environment.

Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Requirements

Adherence to EHS Policies:

  • Follow all EHS roles and responsibilities as stated in manufacturing work instructions and EHS policies and procedures.

Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS regulations and guidelines.

Safety Practices:

  • Maintain awareness of safety practices and ensure a safe work environment.

Incident Reporting:

  • Report any EHS incidents or hazards to supervision immediately.

Qualifications We Require:

  • Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Previous aerospace experience.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is $30.16-$40.80; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
