Spectraforce Technologies Inc. Quality Engineer in Everett, Washington

Job Title: Quality Engineer Location: Everett, WA Duration: 6+ Months Job Description: Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Client's Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Provides Quality interpretation of requirements. Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for small programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements. Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities. Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions. Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances. Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under general direction. Day to day: Works on developing and implementing preventive measures/processes to identify and mitigate risk in the supply base. Supports existing production through process improvement techniques involving defect reduction, verification system design, and ensures compliance to requirements. Represents Quality function on team activities to integrate contractual and Client's Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation. Required Skills: At least 2 years of experience in the following areas: Must have experience working in a quality role. Must have experience with root cause and corrective action processes. Must have experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions. Preferred Skills: Experience with risk assessment methodologies and experience in supplier audits (e.g., FMEA, system, product, and process audit assessment). Experience, and at least considered an intermediate user, with office tools such Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning and Production Part Approval Process. Experience in various quality tools and processes such as inspection plans, control plans, and measurement system analysis (MSA). Experience with Statistical Product Acceptance and review of supplier statistical plans. Experience with Engineering Process Improvement Methods: knowledge of producibility and process improvement methodologies (e.g., statistical process control (SPC), 6-Sigma). Experience leading cross-functional teams. Ability to present technical findings to various levels of leadership.
