Providence St. Joseph Health Mental Health Associate - Psychiatry in Everett, Washington

Description Mental Health Associate - Everett Medical Ctr Colby-Everett(HR) SCHEDULE: Variable weekdays, every other weekend, 9AM to 7:30PM The Mental Health Specialist (MHS) works with other team caregivers of inpatient unit staff to provide patient care in a variety of job duties, and under the direct supervision of the Social Work Supervisor, RN, or the Mental Health Professional, or the inpatient Unit Manager or Director. Provides focused patient care, support, and milieu management for patients with behavioral health conditions and illness. Under the direction of a Social Work Supervisor or other designated clinical staff, observes and reports on patient conditions. Responsible for and/or supports the daily and various therapeutic activities care of the patients. Collaborates with the multi-disciplinary treatment team in the initial developing and modification of treatment care plans both during the admission process, and during the in-patient hospitalization. Diploma or GED Or equivalent educ/experience Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 1 year In an acute or residential inpatient psychiatric facility in a similar role. Applicable internship or practicum experience may be applied towards required years of experience. Preferred Qualifications: Adult inpatient psych unit: experience in an adult psychiatric environment. Why Join Providence?
