Job Description
As a Material Strider you’ll ship, receive, package, count and route material, complete associated paperwork and/or operate machinery such as pallet jack, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
Coordinate shipping and receiving and material handling transactions with appropriate individuals/departments.
Responsible for assigned picking inventorying, and packaging. Route packaging materials to proper departments.
Maintain necessary records and files of transactions, verifying accuracy of shipments against bills of lading, invoices or other records on Oracle or other systems.
Arranges stock to best advantage for efficiency and accessibility. Adheres to all safety rules and may use pallet jack and other material moving tools and moving machinery.
Deliver product from receiving to the appropriate destination.
Kanban bin fill and execution
Sustain material presentations in the cells utilizing client specifications
Performs inventories; physically perform and transact cycle counts of materials.
Reconcile bad counts with assistance from Senior Material Handler.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of material and Kanban execution experience
Experience working in lean, continuous improvement manufacturing environment.
Accurately follow standard work
Able to stand/walk for up to 10 hrs per day
Able to lift material no heavier than 40 lbs on occasion
Work as a team member and foster a cooperative team environment
Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
