Seeking a Manager of Cyber Defense to lead and further develop our global 24x7 security operations center including endpoint security and threat detection capabilities. This position requires a blend of technical expertise in incident response, detection engineering, endpoint security, and enthusiasm for crisis management. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in building operational maturity by enhancing processes, coaching and mentoring staff, and cultivating a culture of continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership over cybersecurity incident management and our Security Operations Center (SOC), focusing on enhancing current incident handling processes, detection content, and threat interdiction capabilities.

• Own and manage the endpoint security tooling, ensuring comprehensive coverage and effectives across the enterprise.

• Conduct ongoing defensive enhancements across Fortive’s operating companies, integrating security technologies for improved visibility, detection, and response.

• Engage with vendors for product effectiveness, feature updates, and relationship management.

• Create and maintain clear documentation formalizing work stream processes and ensuring compliance with SLAs for resolving cybersecurity issues.

• Cultivate and maintain “defensive priorities” based of security events, root cause analysis, environment posture, and threat intelligence.

• Continually improve team’s ability to analyze malicious activity, determine weaknesses exploited, and ensure preventative and detection mechanisms are in place.

• Stay informed on current cyber defense trends, threat intel feeds, and best practices to maintain the enterprise's security.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in the administration and engineering of technical capabilities in a significant information security program.

• Technical knowledge of information security incident response, concepts, processes, trends, and best practices.

• Experience managing global service delivery partners.

• Proficiency developing and leading cybersecurity programs and projects.

• Must have a continuous improvement and learning mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 8-15 years of relevant experience, with broad technical and cybersecurity expertise.

• Passion for cybersecurity, with active interest and knowledge of current trends and emergent threats.

• Strong ethics, integrity, and self-motivation to succeed against challenges.

• Proven capability to deliver high-quality work, both individually and as part of a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience in a Security Operations Centre, Security Penetration Testing team, or a security-related role within software engineering, cloud, or DevOps team.

• Understanding of the “attacker mindset”, Purple Teaming, and Threat Informed Defense concepts.

• Ensure compliance with NIST, CSF 2.0 and GDPR through robust security controls, incident response, and data protection.

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 126,700.00 - 235,300.00
