Job Title: Composite Repair Mechanic

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Composite Mechanic, supporting heavy maintenance and modification of 737 aircraft. In this role, you will be tasked with removing and reinstalling structure to access repair areas, repairing carbon fiber and fiberglass on various aircraft components such as fairings, flaps, slats, and flight controls. You will perform taper-sanding on various materials for damage removal in hard-to-reach areas, read repair manuals and drawings to determine necessary materials and repair specifications, apply heat blankets with accurate thermocouple placement, and operate a Heatcon hot-bond console.

Hard Skills

  • 4+ years of recent aircraft composite repair

  • Experience in reading repair manuals and drawings

  • Proficiency with Heatcon hot-bond console operation

  • Skilled in applying heat blankets with proper thermocouple placement

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Everett, Washington.

Work Environment

Work in a large MRO hangar setting from Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. Shifts are 10 hours long, from 0500 – 1530 or 1530 – 0200, and flexibility with shifts is required. The first week includes 24 to 40 hours of specific training during day shifts. After training, you will be assigned a regular schedule, with examples including Thursday-Sunday, Friday-Monday, or Monday-Thursday.
