AMERIQUAL GROUP, LLC Thermal Processing Specialist in Evansville, Indiana

Now is your chance to join an organization where WHAT YOU DO MATTERS!AmeriQual Foods, an Evansville, IN based food manufacturing facility, is seeking a Thermal Processing Specialist to join our growing team. This position is involved with developing, implementing, and maintaining Thermal Process programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop Thermal Processing procedures and work instructions for new products and continuously improve processes / procedures for existing products
  • Provide support to Thermal Processing Technicians and Retort Operators
  • Conduct and analyze heat penetration tests and temperature distribution tests
  • Coordinate heat penetration test and temperature distribution test scheduling with RandD and Production departments.
  • Perform and supervise thermal process record review assuring adherence to established critical factors for the thermal process of each product.
  • Additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field
  • Working knowledge of retort and thermal processing operations
  • Better Process Control School Certification and HACCP Manager Certification or capability of becoming certified
  • Strong mechanical and computer skills
  • Ability to analyze and understand thermal processing data, including heat penetration tests
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
