ShelterCare's Development Department of Eugene, OR is hiring a full-time Volunteer Coordinator. This position is responsible for supporting the Development Team with volunteer management for events; public speaking opportunities; managing business partnerships; and helping to assure the volunteer program meets the agency's mission and values. The Volunteer Coordinator is an non-exempt; hourly position and earns a starting range of $21.20 - 22.77 per hour based on the qualifications. This position requires the ability to work some evenings and/or weekends for events.
ABOUT SHELTERCARE
ShelterCare is a social services agency that is directed by a board of community volunteers . We have multiple programs in the Eugene/Springfield area. We offer a range of housing solutions combined with wraparound services for families and community members who are experiencing homelessness, on the verge of becoming homeless and have a serious mental illness. Because of the variety of services we offer, we are able to help many people in our community.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Experience in people management; a history of personal volunteerism for nonprofit organizations.
Essential Skills
Excellent communication; scheduling and time management; leadership; risk management; interpersonal and decision-making skills; use of technology for email, spreadsheets and documents; demonstration of cultural humility towards diversity of human experience; support of the mission and values of ShelterCare
Preferred Skills
Bilingual; experience with volunteer management software
Physical Requirements
Work involves sitting most of the work day greater than 50% of the time; repetitive motion: substantial repetitive movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers (computer use.) Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading, primarily on a computer monitor; occasional travel required for offsite meetings and events.
