Bilingual candidates are eligible for an additional \$1.50 Bilingual Differential. This Bilingual Differential is not included in the salary range above. Position Summary This position will oversee the street outreach programs including street outreach to homeless populations providing on site HIV testing, Needle Exchange, Naloxone distribution, and street-based medical care, housing navigators and community health workers. In this role they will be responsible for quality assurance and improvement, staff training, and general program oversight. The Outreach Program Manager must possess a high level of awareness regarding homeless populations, barriers to housing in Lane County and Oregon\'s at-risk groups which include Gay/Bi men and men who have sex with men (MSM), people who inject drugs (PWID), partners of people living with HIV (PLWHA) and the Trans and Gender Diverse Community and people experiencing homelessness. The Manager is a member of the Program Managers team and will work closely with other team members in reaching out to and building relationships with homeless service providers, social work teams at local hospitals and other medical providers. This position represents the agency in a variety of community settings including meetings and events. The Manager supervises volunteers and staff, and ensures that they have the tools, training and resources needed to effectively carry out their work. This position is involved in the development of strategic prevention and education initiatives and participates in planning, development, implementation and monitoring of such initiatives. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Advocate for needed services and future direction of these services Build and strengthen relationship with housing providers Presents and distributes information about the program at local service organizations, homeless shelters, and other housing providers Stay current on HIV prevention (interventions, stats, etc) Participate in agency collaboration, creative processes and lead committees Participate on all required agency teams and committees Provide prevention services as needed, including evening and weekend services.
