The Information Technology (IT) Security Administrator will work closely with our core technology and business product teams to provide oversight and ensure best practices and security policies are followed to secure the firm. The IT Security Administrator will manage day to day operations of security tools, perform internal audits and vendor risk assessments.

The individual in this role will have a broad knowledge of IT functions, security concepts and the ability to communicate across departments and roles.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct frequent information security inspections, audits, vendor risk assessments, and create documentation

  • Provide day-to-day operational support of security-related systems and applications, including monitoring logs, security events, and creating custom alerts and rules for security tools

  • Monitor security applications and events for malicious and suspicious activity, supporting the incident response process and escalating as appropriate

  • Participate in follow-up of security risk remediation-related work with Moss Adams internal departments (e.g., Legal, People Team, business groups) and track to completion

  • Monitor, analyze, and evaluate operations and activities to ensure an appropriate level of information protection is achieved and maintained

  • Provide security education, guidance and best practices to members of the firm while enforcing the IT Security policy

  • Act as security representation and provide oversight for assigned projects and security team initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required, emphasis in Cybersecurity or a related Information Technology field

  • Minimum of 1 year of related experience required, experience in a professional services environment preferred

  • Strong background in compliance and audit procedures including SOC 2 and ISO 27001

  • Demonstrated knowledge of on-premise server environments, Azure services, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SQL, virtualization, and familiar with o365 products like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online

  • Strong technical aptitude for working with a wide variety of devices, infrastructures, operating systems, and cloud technologies

  • Working knowledge of wide area and local area networking, firewall, IPS, DMZ, and web application firewalls

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to articulate complex issues to others

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects/assignments simultaneously

  • Experience with security tools such as SIEMs, vulnerability scanners, web content filters, email filters, data loss prevention tools and Azure cloud security technologies

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 5%
