Position Announcement

The Department of Physics and the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Oregon invite applications for a tenure-track Materials Science faculty position to start in Fall 2024. The position is targeted at the level of Assistant Professor. Applicants should have a PhD and an outstanding research record. The successful candidate will be expected to build a world-class research program, teach graduate and undergraduate courses with distinction, and perform university service and public outreach. Department or Program Summary

The UO Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry offers undergraduate major and minor degrees in chemistry and biochemistry, and graduate degrees at the masters and PhD level. The UO Department of Physics also offers undergraduate major and minor degrees in physics, and graduate degrees at the masters and PhD levels.
