Global Foundries Waste Engineer in Essex Junction, Vermont
Oversees the organization's environmental programs, systems, and procedures.
Typically performs one or more of the following in capacity of either an individual contributor (as directed and/or independently), or as a manager:
• Develops and implements the organization's positions on environmental policy issues regarding the impact of the organization's operations on water, air and land quality
• Designs and implements programs to ensure healthful and safe working conditions and compliance with all environmental regulations, including clean air and hazardous waste disposal, on the organization's premises
• Serves as a liaison with external government environmental agencies
• Monitors programs and maintains up-to-date records required by environmental permits to ensure government compliance
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Works and collaborates other projects and/or assignments as needed

Summary of Role:
As a Regulatory Waste Engineer your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to waste inventory management, monitoring waste regulations, characterizing waste streams, and evaluating compliance of disposal facilities.
Essential Responsibilities:
Review and monitor various environmental regulations; RCRA , DOT, IATA, and other applicable local, state, and federal regulatory bodies.
Assemble various environmental deliverables associated with the location’s waste program and contribute to other required submissions. These include but are not limited to: Annual Waste Report, Biennial Report, WIETS, TRI, etc.
May be required to inspect and evaluate industrial and municipal facilities and programs to assess their compliance with environmental regulations
Work with chemical management team to create various types of chemical storage and usage reports. Provide assistance with required regulatory reporting under the chemical management program.
Assist the Regional Environmental team with improving process documentation, developing metrics that demonstrate program health, and general business controls for the region.
Partner with manufacturing, facilities, logistics, and quality to identify new opportunities and projects that will further contribute to regional environmental objectives and goals.
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Participate on Emergency Response Team (ERT)

Required Qualifications:
Education – Science or Engineering Degree in an EHS discipline or related field. field.
Experience - Minimum 0-3 Years in EHS field.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
Fluency in English Language – written & verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong planning & organizational skills.
Expected Salary Range
$77,000.00 - $142,000.00
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
