Summary of Role:
GlobalFoundries has a New College Graduate role available at the Burlington Vermont site for a software engineer to develop and support real time software that manages the Post Fab factory systems. This role will design, develop and test application solutions on Linux and AIX platforms to control production tools as well as material logistics systems with real time web dashboards.
Essential Responsibilities include:
- Design, code, test, integrate, and maintain custom Factory Systems applications supporting Post Fab manufacturing processes
- Collaborate with functional team members and other remote teams providing application support
- Software management disciplines including change control, development, testing, and deployment of critical 24X7 software applications
- Maintain detailed application documentation and revision control
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education - Graduating with Bachelor\'s in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited degree program.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.
- Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)
- Solid programming skills (Java, C, C++, PHP, JavaScript, SQL, Perl)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience.
- Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.
- Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills

Expected Salary Range
\$52,500.00 - \$107,000.00
The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
