Nestle Sustainability Specialist in Esplugues Llobregat, Spain

POSITION SUMMARY

Lead, coordinate and implement all Sustainability Corporate, Zone and Local initiatives related to:

1) GHG reduction roadmap, 2) packaging optimization and reusability/recyclability roadmap and its end of life management, 3) biodiversity initiatives, 4) sustainability legal change impacts across the value chain (local, national and EU level) interacting with all NIM categories, functions and external stakeholders.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Sustainability - Strategy and others:

  • Drive the overall Sustainability strategy in the market on Zero Net Emissions and Carbon Neutrality, being the expert of the company on Carbon footprint.

  • Define and Lead local LCA / Carbon Neutrality Projects and other sustainability projects by defining partnerships, act as contact person, ensure implementation & follow-up.

  • Act as a sustainability spokesperson internally in contact with Businesses/Categories, Functions, Communication.

  • Act as a sustainability spokesperson in contact with Customers, entities, politicians, public authorities and media.

  • Close follow Up of all legal impacts of all laws at local/national/supranational level.

  • Communicate to relevant stakeholders with the most appropriate message for them enriching our advocacy plans.

  • Define and Implement sustainability training plan.

  • Engage with the Communication team to integrate sustainability messages in their strategy & align when/ how to communicate local sustainable projects.

  • Lead BCorp/other certifications implementation in the market.

  • Sustainability - Execute Zero Net Emissions and Carbon neutrality journey:

  • Execute the Zero Net Emissions and Carbon Neutrality strategy in Iberia, both cascading global commitments and by developing and implementing the local roadmap with external partnerships if needed.

  • Lead & Execute LCA/Carbon Footprint analysis for Local Brands selected.

  • Lead other Sustainability projects related to Climate / Emissions reduction.

  • Evaluation of CO2 emissions reduction in different projects across the organization.

  • Ensure Engage the Business/Categories/Functions and Communication team in all these initiatives.

  • Ensure alignment with Finance in all these projects / initiatives.

  • Project Tracker:

  • Update Sustainability Project Tracker.

  • Align with ZEMENA Project Tracker.

  • Align with Finance to keep financial status of all projects/initiatives updated.

  • Reporting contact for ZEMENA for all Sustainability projects.

  • Budget Management:

  • Continuously monitor of the Sustainability budget as per Operational Plan (OP), respecting corporate audit guidelines.

ARE YOU A FIT?

  • Academic Experience:

  • University graduate or equivalent (preferred Technical, Sustainability, Food Technology, Science or Engineering; also considered communication, Public Relations, Business Administration).

  • Business Experience:

  • Experience leading projects or initiatives related with Sustainability (LCA / Carbon Footprint / Carbon Neutrality).

  • Experience in Project Management across several functions.

  • Prior experience in communication (desirable)

  • Proven track record in delivering results by working with cross-functional teams.

  • Operational Experience:

  • Demonstrated capability to lead a group and to lead projects.

  • Demonstrated management capability in an operational environment.

  • Leading / implementing change.

  • Language skills:

  • English and Spanish proficiency is a must.

  • Portuguese will be a plus.
