We are looking for a manager to be part of our SAP Landscape Team in the IT Platforms Stream

The role 

As a member of the SAP Technologies area, you will use your expertise and passion to contribute to the team’s success within one of the largest and most complex SAP implementations in the world. As Manager - SAP Technologies, you will deliver operational excellence, guide the experts to design and architect solutions and deliver resilient, compliant and performant SAP Landscape, and contribute or lead Global IT projects like our SAP S/4 HANA Transformation.

You will be part of the SAP Landscape team and will work closely with IT Product Streams and partners to ensure to deliver SAP platform technology roadmap and value to the business.

What you’ll do 

  • The SAP Technologies Manager is accountable for the continuous value delivery of IT Product Groups and Platforms. S/He oversees sustain, deployment, retirement and leverage and ensures the effective and efficient operational support of all internally or by a third-party managed product and platform groups in scope for the day-to-day delivery of all operational and technical planning, organization and coordination of all the required services.

  • Secure partner delivery quality and value for money by providing transparent partner performance metrics (in accordance with contracts and agreed governance with the partners). 

  • Assess and manage risk in the partner ecosystem - involves assessing the key categories of financial, operational, compliance, strategy and geographic risks.

  • Organize and Chair partner(s) governance: manage periodic reviews, share metrics, define action plans and monitor actions.

  • Provides technical escalation support for experts and Nestlé partners to ensure service level objectives are met.

  • Contribute to increasing flexibility by leveraging partners to meet growing business demand and help Nestlé people to be focused on added value activities.

  • Support the Product Group management to drive business value through increasing vendor productivity and managing the service risk. Provide contractual parameter input, tools, agreements to support contractual negotiations.

  • Measure, monitor and provide transparency on all aspects of IT performance (product group key value indicators, IT workforce, IT transformation…) to support IT and Functional / Product management's decision making.

  • S/He guides and promotes optimal use of technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within their area of expertise.

  • S/He should be self-motivated to find opportunities and take initiatives.

  • Works with product teams including partners to ensure good coordination of product changes across multiple products without impacting IT Consumers and business processes.

  • Builds and maintains relationships with product team leaders to develop a clear understanding of product strategy, product value delivery planning and of business needs.

  • Provides timely updates and information to IT Consumers/stakeholders on platform issues and maintenance windows.

  • Fosters collaboration from his/her operations team in project teams for small-scale business process improvement projects and/or Business Requirements.

  • Coach, develop and mentor the team to strive for their full potential.

  • Define and cascade SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, timely). objectives to help deliver overarching Nestle IT objectives.

  • Travel activity is low, depending on the project assigned, averaging at below 10%.

What Will Make You Successful

Technical skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in one of the following areas: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management

  • Solid know-how of SAP Technologies and Products (SAP certification highly beneficial)

  • Strong understanding of SAP BASIS, HANA, SUSE knowledge (preferably Pacemaker experience) > 12 years

  • Experience dealing with complex infrastructure setup.

  • S/4 experience including Fiori, embedded gateway, and technical conversions

  • Problem solving skills, including incident resolution, RCA

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing standard processes and managing performance to achieve key metrics

  • Understanding of ITSM tools and best practices.

  • Understanding and knowledge of product lifecycle methodologies (such as Agile/SCRUM principles, DevOps, project management principles)

Soft Skills

  • Strong technical and people leadership.

  • Ability to work as part of a global team and in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication skills: Articulate technical details effectively to non-technical individuals using clear and concise language.

  • Thrive in high-pressure situations and maintain a strong focus on delivering exceptional service to customers.

  • Excellent presentation skills: Capable of delivering engaging presentations, utilizing storytelling techniques and PowerPoint to effectively convey information.

  • Strong documentation abilities: Skilled in creating comprehensive and organized documentation, including standards and procedures.

Minimum qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree or a related study/equivalent experience

  • 12+ years of experience in managing complex IT SAP platforms.

  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

  • Experience managing people in diverse environment.

  • Strong result focus and the ability to influence without authority

  • Experience in working in a complex and global environment with virtual teams

  • Can-do attitude and self-motivated

Bonus Points If You: 

  • SAP Technology Certifications.

  • Recent implementation experience with SAP S/4HANA brownfield/greenfield.

  • Strong understanding of IT Security & Compliance (SSL, Encryption, Hardening, SAP Vulnerability Management) etc.
