Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our service industry team based in Escondido, California. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and preparing journal entries, participating in the month-end close process, and maintaining the general ledger. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake the preparation and analysis of complex journal entries, including prepaids, accruals, and risk pools.

• Be actively involved in the month-end close process, ensuring that reporting is both accurate and timely.

• Prepare comprehensive financial statement packages for review, focusing on the general ledger, balance sheet, and month-end financials.

• Carry out financial analysis to support the month-end close, which includes variance analysis and productivity assessments.

• Maintain and manage all records within the General Ledger, ensuring the correct accounting of all transactions.

• Create and run reports using report writer tools, generating insights into financial performance.

• Work collaboratively with other teams to maintain the accuracy and integrity of all financial data.

• Employ your Microsoft Excel skills to manipulate and analyze financial data.

• Manage physician compensation payroll, including complex calculations relating to productivity, charges, payments, and productivity pool adjustments.

• Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) as the primary ERP system. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation

• Mastery of Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Expertise in conducting Bank Reconciliations

• Demonstrated ability to manage General Ledger

• Experience in recording Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close procedures

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software
