What you get to do every single day

• Lead the accounting team during the closing process to assure deadlines are met

• Support the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

• Additional responsibilities if necessary

• Aid implementation and guarantee adherence to accounting policies and procedures

• Provide regular account reconciliation to completion

• Incite accountability and the meeting of deliverables

• Uphold to ensure a competent, trained staff through development, regular assessment, and goal setting

• Arrange numerous policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses

• Examine and build Ad Hoc financial reports

• Make relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like actual spend against budgets/outlook, the monthly flash report, and key financial metrics

• Mark and expand process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

• Developed preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits

  Requirements

• Proficient in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request

• Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions

• General familiarity with Annual Audited Financial Statements

• Hyperion Enterprise experience desired

• Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience

• Standard Cost Accounting experience

• Demonstrated knowledge of Annual Close Processes

• Practical knowledge of journal entries

• Hyperion Financial Reporting experience required

• Good understanding of Major ERP System

• Adeptness in month end closings

• Strong familiarity with cost accounting

• Background working with Month-end Journal Entries

• Earlier work involving Post Journal Entries

• Journal Entry Preparation experience highly preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

• Certified Public Accounting license or exams in progress preferred

• Understanding GAAP and firm accounting policies and procedure

• 5+ years of general ledger accounting experience

  • Progressive accounting experience, including in a public accounting setting or with publicly traded companies
