JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Penn State Behrend invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position as assistant teaching professor of clinical psychology to begin in August 2025. We are seeking a colleague who envisions a career where teaching and practice are equally valued. The successful candidate will be someone who finds meaning from being in the classroom and providing high- quality, active learning experiences.

Responsibilities of the job include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in clinical psychology and their area of expertise (typical teaching load is four courses per semester); supervising undergraduate and graduate internships; maintaining a research agenda that engages undergraduate and graduate students; and advising students and providing service to the school, college, and University. Applicants must have completed an earned doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology, or a related field, by the appointment start date and have demonstrated teaching expertise in the field of clinical or counseling psychology. Licensure or license eligibility in Pennsylvania are required by appointment date. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job.
