Provider Resources, Inc Accountant in Erie, Pennsylvania

Under the supervision of the Controller, the Accountant is the staff member with responsibilities for the internal day-to day financial operations of the organization.  The accountant is responsible for processing all contract cost reports and invoices, addicting with cost proposals and budgets, daily maintenance of the timekeeping system and special projects as requested.  The accountant also serves as liaison to Human Resources and Administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and represent PRI's mission, vision, and values to all internal and external customers.
  • Engage clients in appropriate communication that manages client expectations and builds a collaborative relationship with the client.
  • Interact with government and private sector clients, partners, and PRI staff in a professional and accountable manner, and as a representative of PRI management.
  • Prepare and process multi state payroll.
  • Contribute to business development efforts for new sales and marketing to promote the business, including responses to requests for detail costing, quotes, sources sought, proposals, and/or presentations as requested.
  • Prepare and analyze month and year end financial statements.
  • Assist with the accounting functions, reconciliation process, and audits.
  • Prepare Cost Reports and invoices as specified for each contract.
  • Maintain the timekeeping system including employee and group maintenance and timely closing of payroll information for each reporting period.
  • Maintain records for Paid Time Off Benefits and Leave Banks in timekeeping system.
  • Assist the business development team and program managers with preparation of costing for proposals.
  • Assist management in the preparation of budgets and other cost analysis.
  • Other projects as directed by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Five years' experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and aptitude for accounting software (PROCAS).
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Cost Accounting helpful.
  • Government accounting helpful.
  • Ability to multitask several projects at any given time.
  • Ability to work independently without a great deal of supervision.
  • Good problem-solving abilities.
  • Must have no conflict of interest (COI) as defined in 1154(b)(1) of the Social Security Act (SSA).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Government Security Clearance.
