RELYANT Global LLC Lead Mechanic in Erbil, Iraq
RELYANT Global, LLC is seeking an experienced Lead Mechanic to serve on a large Department of State opportunity in Iraq.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lead Mechanic will serve the VMSS task order in support of the U.S. Department of State (DOS). Perform major mechanical repairs with minimal supervision to ensure proper performance and safety of mission vehicles.
DUTIES:
Assess mechanical problems in vehicles using diagnostic equipment.
Supervise mechanics and inspect completed repairs.
Oversee the rebuilding, replacement, or repair of major vehicle components, assemblies, and systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, etc.
Estimate time and materials required to perform major repairs.
Maintain accurate, updated preventive maintenance records.
Train mechanics and mechanic helpers.
Ensure established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties are followed.
Ensure shop, equipment, and tools are in safe operating condition.
Maintain accurate records of time and materials required to perform repairs and service.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
Advanced knowledge of diesel, gasoline and electric engine/motor maintenance and repair.
Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs independently.
Ability to operate equipment and tools involved in vehicle repair.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Acceptable Experience Level: Five (5) years as a mechanic.
Education: High School Diploma.
Licenses and Certifications:
Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification or equivalent.
Valid driver's license from home of record.
Clearance Level:
US Citizen and TCN personnel: MRPT determination issued by the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS/SI/PSS) prior to contract performance.
Local National (LN) personnel: Vetting Approval by host country Regional Security Officer (RSO) in accordance with local standards and Overseas Vetting Guidelines (OVG) prior to contract performance.
Language Skills: Fluent in English
