Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center brings acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties. The facility features 108 private inpatient beds and an attached outpatient medical office building.

REGISTERED NURSE CLINICAL STAFF LEADER – MEDICAL/SURGICAL

The RN Clinical Staff Leader is responsible for assisting in supervising nursing staff; for providing leadership and orientation to nursing personnel; and for performing a variety of nursing duties in order to coordinate the delivery of care to patients. Ensure clinical care delivery and ensure optimal patient outcomes. Lead staff involved in providing clinical patient care. Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in a specific patient care area and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice.

The Inpatient Staff Nurse for the Medical/Surgical inpatient units will assess health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans across the 24 bed-unit. This unit is comprised of 50% medicine patients, 50% surgical patients.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required

2-3 years RN experience in an acute care setting

Previous work experience in a supervisory, management, or other healthcare leadership capacity

Active RN Registered Nurse license in the state

BLS required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
